Contrary to popular belief, meditation is not limited to sitting. Even though, devoting time to meditation is essential. This exercise responds to the desire for life transformation and the search for a better quality of life.
Like the exploratory practices that complement it, such as physical yoga (postures, asanas), it influences all aspects of our lives.
This is only possible if we are willing to apply them in our daily lives, to learn from them.
In this article, I give you an example of how meditation can be applied in everyday life.
At work, with friends, family, shopping, walking, in short during all our actions of the day (and even during dreams) it is possible for us to apply our knowledge learned in meditation.
This article is written in response to the theme: What lessons can we learn from creating a project ?
Previously, we had developed the first point in the article What difference does it make to work for a job that animates you ?
Now let's look at the second lesson in the list, which states that "creating a project is like a long meditation".
To illustrate it, when we take the time to meditate, preferably in the morning (if we have to choose between morning and evening), from 5 to 30 minutes -1H depending on our ease, we work the soil of our inner garden.
"Soil preparation is a key element in the success of a garden, especially when it comes to seedlings, but also when it comes to planting. "Gardening is a perfect example of this practice.
At first, we cultivate from the opening, we walk on our ground; to get to know each other. It is still a bit foreign to us (it must be said that you had completely forgotten its existence until now). We rediscover it, as he is, trying to see how to place ourselves in relation to it. We take stock of the situation and become familiar with it.
This regular encounter with our beloved land then allows us to visit it regularly during the day.
Whenever you notice that you are absorbed in a thought or thought pattern it is an opportunity for you to focus your attention on the sensation of the air through your nostrils. If this is not yet accessible to you, you can listen to the sounds that surround you, the sensations, the smells, take the time to observe a plant or an object in its details... There are many ways to come back, in consciousness, to the present moment, it is up to you to test them and adopt the one that suits you best.
Finally, when you create a project you can find yourself alone for many hours on your computer working, creating. It is, then, easy for us (with very few distractions and external pressures) to become aware of the appearance of thoughts. We rest our attention on presence, or breathing, and continue this exercise throughout the day.
